Some Of My Creations

The pictures you will see below are some of the random projects that I have completed since I have known Nomes...I have a feeling that there will be many more random projects in the future, please enjoy looking at them as I had making them.

This is my latest creation Nomes and I refer to it as a 'Thread Catcher'.

Above is my pumpkin pin cushion

I turned the giraffe square that Nomes  gave me into coaster

The above pic is another coaster I made with the centre pieced block donated by my Aunty May

I had fun putting this coaster together I just love crazy patch

These Quilt-as-you-go boxes by Judy Campbell (Handmade Vol. 18 No.7)  were a real challenge for me, I had to ask both my mum and Nomes for help in interpreting the instructions; the end result was worth the headache I got.

As you can see I do not tell a lie when I said that Nomes is a hard task master, for all her clever evilness she has opened my eyes back up to the fun that I used to have when I was quilting...for that I thank her.

It's Done Now!!

Well I'm here after much twisting of my arms and sore very sore ears from Nomes I am going to put up my first post, so here it goes..........

You are looking at my first ever mug bag that I put together under Nomes excellent tutor-ledge it turned out rather well, I must admit that I needed some help from both of my wonderful neighbours. Nome's helped me interpret the pattern and Miss Raelene helped me by drilling out the holes in the beads so as I could thread them.

I finally succumbed to Naomi's badgering!

After much procrastination by me, and a whole bunch of pushing by Nomes, she has started this blog for me!  She has assured me that I need a blog, but I think I still need a bit of convincing!

In the meantime, here's a couple of things I've made when visiting with her (which happens to be the house next door!)
Naomi is a hard task mistress, and quite often when I pop next door, she puts me to work....these three pics are just a small sampling of some of the things I've made at her place.
I did a zip...yay me!  All up, this zippered pouch has 50, 25 a side, of those flap things, or owl feathers as I ended up referring to them as!
I have a gorgeous little pooch that looks just like the puppy on my old coffee mug....sadly it was chipped and not wanting it to give up the ghost altogether, I have preserved my Lucy look-a-like mug by turning it into a pincushion.

Until next time, when Naomi will have handed the reigns over to me, sew up big.

Hugs

P.S. This post was actually written by Naomi, but she'll get me to do future posts.
